Botswana Market Watch | June 23rd 2015: Botswana equity market cap marginally adds BWP 5million
Gaborone, Botswana (Capital Markets in Africa):- The Botswana domestic composite index gained 0.01 percent or 1.00 point to close at BWP 10,603.57. However, the foreign composite index remained unchanged to close at 1,570.91 points. Likewise, the equity market capitalization settled at BWP 420,431 billion, by adding BWP 5 million relative to yesterday market cap of BWP 420.428 billion.
From the market activity viewpoint, the daily volume and turnover settle at 120,587 and BWP 430,199. CHOPPIES 36,611 traded shares at BWP 164,020 turnover, LETSHEGO ended with 32,683 traded securities at BWP 107,853 turnover and RDC Properties Limited had 24,265 securities at BWP 55,809 turnover.
Looking at the price movers’, First National Bank Botswana gained BWP 0.01 to close the day at BWP 3.92, TURNSTAR Botswana added BWP 0.05 to end at BWP 2.50 and Wilderness Holdings Limited surged by BWP 0.05 to settle at BWP 4.55. On the contrary, LETSHEGO fell by BWP 0.05 with a closing price of BWP 3.30 and STANDARD CHARTERED Botswana plummeted by BWP 0.01 to conclude at 12.66.
